Introduction to Bread
Service Description
In the one day (10am-4:00pm approx) beginners' class we will start with an introduction to the basic ingredients, dive into what makes bread work and share some knowledge about dough. Then, we will begin working to produce a variety of breads. You will be introduced to mixing techniques and shown a couple of different approaches to developing the dough to make it useable. We will make three or four different doughs during the class and we will make a great selection to take home. Learning to bake your own bread is fun and rewarding experience. It's a life skill and one that you can share with friends and family forever. Real bread is healthy and tasty and a million miles from the so-called bread you get in most supermarkets. From this class you will learn the basic techniques and you will leave with four different kinds of bread, along with my recipes! Lunch is included.
